Power of Pink

Lately, I am loving pink.  I'm using it as a neutral and it does not look feminine matched with my grey and muted tones in my living room.  My recent purchase of these (it took some courage) to dress up my sofa, have me craving more.

Some type of pink wallpaper in a bathroom maybe...

Muted pink walls... I think so.

I've used this image before and can't wait to get bolster pillows similar to these made for my couch. Pink walls, grey trim...

Pink curtains...

Albert Hadley

I was so sad to learn last week of the death of Albert Hadley (1921-2012). He was a true southern interior designer raised in Nashville, Tennessee (I was ecstatic when I learned he lived a block from my house).  He studied at Peabody College and then Parsons School of Design in New York, where he also later taught.  Known for his modernistic and classic designs, he partnered with Sister Parish in the 1960's, whose work was more of an English style. This dynamic pair worked together for 33 years.  His celebrity clientele includes:  Oscar de la Renta, the Rockefellers, the Kennedys, and other high society politicos.  He recently donated some of his sketch collections to the Nashville Library.

Trip to Jackson

Our one week vacay in Jackson made up for this mild southern winter.  I was delightfully reminded of my love for the mountains.  I ate my way through the week with skiing in between and lots of good QT with old friends.

John, again.

Dinner with the gang.

Costume parties are as frequent as powder days.
